Participants will be awarded training certificates and CPD hours.\nTopics to be covered include:\n\nFundraising Strategies for Tanzanian NGOs and Government Projects – Developing effective fundraising approaches to achieve organizational objectives and fulfill project mandates in Tanzania.\nProcedures for Management of Donor Funds in Tanzania – Best practices for managing donor-funded project finances, including compliance requirements for major donors such as the World Bank (IDA), AfDB, EU, FCDO, SIDA, BMZ/GIZ/KfW, UN agencies (UNDP, UNICEF, WFP), JICA, Global Affairs Canada, USAID, and NORAD.\nImproving Internal Audit in NGOs and Donor-Funded Projects – Strengthening internal audit functions to ensure accountability and effective oversight in NGO operations and donor-funded programs.\nForensic and Fraud Investigations in Donor-Funded Projects – Techniques for detecting and investigating fraud and financial irregularities in projects supported by international donors, within the Tanzanian regulatory framework.\nRisk Management in NGOs and Government Donor-Funded Projects – Identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks in NGOs and government projects, including financial, operational, and compliance risks specific to donor-funded activities.\nTaxes Applicable in NGOs and Donor Funded Projects – Overview of tax obligations and exemptions for NGOs in Tanzania, managing tax risks, and best practices for handling Tanzania Revenue Authority (TRA) audits, assessments, and objections.\nESG Reporting for NGOs and the Public Sector – Introduction to Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) reporting standards and how NGOs and public sector entities in Tanzania can integrate ESG considerations into their reporting and operations.\nOverview of IPSAS and Recent IPSAS Updates – An overview of the International Public Sector Accounting Standards (IPSAS) framework and recent updates, with guidance on implementing IPSAS in NGO financial reporting and public sector accounts.\n\nSeminar sessions will run each day from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM, allowing ample time for interactive discussions and Q&A.
