Straton is a Chartered Certified Accountant (ACCA) and a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA). He is a Fellow of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (FCCA) and registered with the National Board of Accountants and Auditors in Tanzania as an Associate CPA in Public Practice. He also holds IFRS and IPSAS certificates from the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales (ICAEW). He holds a Master of Arts in Revenue Law and Administration (Taxation) from the University of Dar es Salaam Law School and an Advanced Diploma in International Taxation from the UK Chartered Institute of Taxation with a focus on Transfer Pricing. Straton is currently the Managing Partner of Auditax International (a firm specialized in the provision of tax, audit, advisory and accounting services) and an experienced auditor and tax expert, with over 13 years of combined work experience some of these with PricewaterhouseCoopers. He has been managing audit assignments (including internal audits) and tax in the banking, manufacturing, trade, construction, agriculture, real estate, utilities and tourism sectors, the public sector and Non-Governmental Organisations (NGOs). He is also an experienced trainer in Tax, IFRS and IPSAS.
